Tom Ingram3 days agoFrom the first interaction with Dan who helped in the design, and Nathan and his team building the project it was a great experience. Dan and Nathan with his crew treated our project like it was maybe their own. Attention to detail and listening to our concerns was always important to them, and I can understand why they came highly recommended from a neighbor. Thanks so much.+0Posted on Google
Jordyn Sarbacker3 days agoWe recently worked with Madison Fence Company to put up a fence in our back yard. Dan was our sales rep and he was fantastic! He made about a dozen different quotes and plans for us in order to find the right material, design, and price for our needs. Alex was the project manager for our fence and was very genuine and professional from the initial walk through to the very last day. If any questions or concerns came up, Alex was always there to help and guide us through the process. Henry did our install, and he definitely had his work cut out for him! We had a challenging layout with a difficult design, which Henry had to do all by himself. We are thoroughly impressed with Henry’s work and his thoughtfulness in including us throughout the process. Our fence looks great and we are so excited to enjoy some additional privacy and keep our dog safe. Thank you Madison Fence Company!+2Posted on Google
Paul Hoffmann8 days agoWe are so pleased with our fence from Madison Fence. Nathan & Johani did such a wonderful job with our installation. They were extremely polite, listened to our suggestions & concerns, and finished the job with perfection. Thank you to David for working with us to get a high quality fence within our budget. Thanks also for making the final changes with our gate hinges to get a nice top line to match the slope of our yard. Overall it was a great experience! Thank you!Posted on Google

Ken Richardson24 days agoThank you for your help in completing our fence project. It’s awesome. We sat safely in the yard with our crazy dogs right away (for the first time ever); nice! The Madison Fence team did an awesome job, from quote, through the project to the final invoice. They did what they said they would do, while listening to our needs and concerns — with no surprises. The on site team were conscientious hard workers; they explained every step and really took care of our needs. Nathan and Johnny managed the project wonderfully. Thank you!+0Posted on Google

Matt Koenig37 days agoMadison Fence Company quoted, designed, and installed a horizontal wide-plank cedar fence for us, and every step was professional, warm, and welcoming. David handled the introduction, walked us through the options, and put together the quote — and the final price came in very close to what he estimated, which we really appreciated. Isaac did a phenomenal job with the installation. He was receptive to our feedback and worked it in quickly, and the install itself went fast. For anyone with fence needs, we'll always recommend these folks.+3Posted on Google

Daniela Tovar60 days agoI can’t say enough good things about Nathan and Johanny! They did an amazing job on our fence, and the whole experience was excellent from beginning to end. This is actually our second project with this company, and there’s a reason we came back. Every time, they go above and beyond what is expected. Nathan and Johanny were professional, hardworking, incredibly detail-oriented, and you can tell they genuinely care about the quality of their work. Our fence turned out absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier with it. It’s so refreshing to work with people who don’t just come in and “get the job done,” but actually take pride in making sure everything is done right. A huge thank you to Nathan and Johanny for all of their hard work. You guys were amazing! We will absolutely be using this company again for future projects and recommending them to anyone who asks.+0Posted on Google

Keith Cavey76 days agoWe were very happy with our experience with Madison Fence Company from start to finish. Michael came out and did a great job explaining our options, helped to design our fence, and gave us a detailed quote. David came out the day the crew started the job and reviewed everything with us to make sure the crew knew exactly what needed to be done. Kian's crew worked quickly and did a great job. Our new vinyl privacy fence looks great! We would highly recommend Madison Fence Company for anyone looking for a new or replacement fence.Posted on Google
Ste Cork77 days agoGreat work. Initial inspection brought up issues I hadn't even thought of ( tree root avoidance, property-line tweak and input regarding neighbor's fence etc ). Didn't have to wait long between downpayment and work starting ( 3 weeks I think ? ). Install took them 3.5 days total due to super-hard ground and a heatwave warning, but all went well. They corrected a couple of small things I wanted changing afterwards ( supplier blemishes on some wood ), all replaced ok. Everything tidy afterwards. Would use again no problem.Posted on Google
Joan Jones93 days agoBack in May a person that makes lots of bad decisions took out part of my privacy fence. Dennis and I love what Madison fence did for us. Dans communication was on point. The quality of the product is great....rich, even color and great coverage that made the whole job easier and the finished deck look fantastic. Mary Jo Steeber Higgins125 days agoWe had Madison Fence Company replace a well worn cedar fence with a walnut stained, capped, cedar fence. It is a thing of beauty!! From sales through installation the process was seamless and the communication was excellent. Over the two day installation, the entire crew was friendly, helpful, courteous, professional and efficient. Cleanup was thorough and the walk-through after installation was informative. Any questions were answered. Thanks to everyone on the team for a great looking, high quality fence!Posted on Google

Duane Acker164 days agoI recently had Madison Fence replace my fence. Every step of the process was easy and organized. The sales person was knowledgeable and the quote included pictures so I could choose the best options. The owner stopped by to discuss a small concern, and that was easily resolved before the work started. The crew consisting of Nathan, Johanny, Setan and Mehdi all worked efficiently to finish the project in one day. When the work was finished, we did a final inspection and all of my requests were completed to my satisfaction. I like supporting local businesses and I would recommend Madison Fence for your project.+0Posted on Google
J Dillett169 days agoWe hired Madison Fence to install the "Cadillac of Fences," (their term) and seeing it now, we 100% agree with them. In one week our old chain link was removed and a new, pre-stained wood fence with top trim and board on board (our anxious dogs can't see through it at all) was installed exactly as promised. We got several quotes and Madison Fence was not the cheapest, but what we got was worth every penny extra. Hire Madison Fence and relax, knowing that your fence will be installed quickly, professionally, and the end product will be a pleasure to look at every day. We were fortunate enough to have master installer Isaac, "The Fence Artist" (our term) handle our job and we're pretty sure we now have the best-looking fence in the city.+1Posted on Google

Dave Kinzer175 days agoYesterday Madison Fence installed a dog enclosure around my backyard. The crew of 4 were exceptionally polite and followed my instructions to a T. They resolved a couple of sticky issues and communicated well. I also have to give kudos to Dan at the office, who was patient through a number of changes that I made along the way, including cancelling the project and restarting is 6 months later.Posted on Google
Steve Lowery183 days agoNathan and his crew from Madison fence did a great job today with the fence for my backyard! They were punctual, professional and communicated well while they installed the fence. The fence is level and square. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves and got it done very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised how fast they were able to get it put up! I would recommend them if you have fencing needsPosted on Google
Sam B186 days agoWe had a really great experience with Madison Fence Company. We worked with David on the initial quote and they were able to get us in several weeks earlier than originally expected, which was awesome. Overall, communication was great the whole way through, and they were very easy to work with. The day the project started, Alex and Sal showed up and walked through all the specifics of the fence with us to make sure everything was right. After that, Sal installed the entire fence completely on his own over the next three days, and it turned out absolutely perfect. You could tell he really took his time to make sure everything was level and looked as clean and professional as possible, and the attention to detail really shows. The timing ended up being perfect too—we got the fence finished just in time for our dog’s birthday, so now he has a yard he can run free in thanks to Sal and Madison Fence Company. We’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking to install a fence—especially if you get Sal working on your project.+2Posted on Google

Melissa graedel231 days agoAlthough I did not have a fence installed by Madison Fence Company, I wanted to State how professional and honest David was when he came to do my quote. He let me know that my job was very small and that they had a large overhead so it would make my tiny project quite costly. He referred me to a company that could do a smaller Project without the high overhead. This level of honesty seems rare these days, and I truly appreciate receiving this service from him!Posted on Google

Ian Pond276 days agoWe recently had a fence installed by Madison Fence Company and it was a great experience and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a fence installed in the Madison area. Michael made the initial design process very straightforward and helped us understand exactly what we would be buying. Michael walked around the property with me and we quickly landed on a layout that made sense and following that he put together a 2D plan to better see the dimensions and available fence design options, the online interior selection was simple and concise. After ordering the fence at the end of October in WI, we didn’t have much hope of getting it installed until spring, but the team at Madison Fence Co, braved the cold weather at the end of December to get our fence installed. They worked quickly and had our fence up within 3 days. The fit and finish of the fence is great and we love that our dog now has a safe and secure place to run around and explore. Again, if you are looking for a fence to be installed, look no further than Madison Fence Company.+2Posted on Google

Katress T327 days agoMadison Fence Company replaced my very old and dilapidated cedar fence this past summer. It was a fairly big job, but the work crew was very skilled and efficient and the whole job was done within a few days. I went into the project with David (an owner) after some frustrating tries with other companies; the issue was I wanted a very specific design which was no longer standard, but David was open-minded and creative about it and came up with a nice workaround. They were also able to create unique modifications to handle obstacles such a large tree root grown over the fence line. The bottom line is I was very happy with the project and based on my experience would recommend this company highly.Posted on Google

Ben Dotte418 days agoMadison Fence did a fantastic job putting our fence up. We wanted something unique with cedar posts and aluminum fencing plus we have a fairly steep hill the fence needed to accommodate and a non-rectangular shape. We also wanted some special touches on the 3 gate entrances such as an arbor, larger posts, etc. We contacted 3 local fence companies; only Madison Fence would even consider the project. We felt the quote was very reasonable, especially given our requirements. Everyone we worked with at Madison Fence was friendly and helpful. Our primary installer really took the time to get everything just right. He listened carefully to our feedback throughout the process and made several adjustments as he went. At the end of the process, we wanted a different color on the post caps and the owner obliged by staining them a darker color at no extra charge. We have gotten many compliments on our fence; it has really upgraded our backyard and made it feel special and unique. I would highly recommend Madison Fence for any fence project.+0Posted on Google

We are enjoying our new security gate! We are planning to use them for a complete yard re-fencing project. 2025-This past week we went ahead with an entire re-fence project with Madison Fence. It's beautiful! They were here when promised and the quality is professional. We had the cedar pre-stained before construction and the pecan color matches beautifully with our home. Brent Dayton542 days agoExcellent Interaction A strange but excellent interaction with this company....I ordered some parts for my existing vinyl fence through a "large" internet site in late March 2025....my credit card listed "Mad-Fence" as the vendor....I figured it was this outfit....after nearly 4 weeks without receiving the small order, I reached out to "Mad-Fence" or Madison Fence Company based on deductive reasoning only to discover that they do not sell fence parts, but are fencing contractors....the up shot is that I spoke with the most pleasant person on the phone...called Mary, I believe...she went above and beyond for someone such as me - a "non-customer" to get to the bottom of the issue. My interaction with this team member was such that I felt compelled to author this review. Again, I'm not a customer, but if I lived near Madison, WI I would surely call Madison Fence Company for my needs knowing the quality of the service provided for even misguided individuals like me!Posted on Google

They took the time to understand exactly what I needed and offered helpful suggestions to ensure the final result exceeded my expectations. The installation crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and left the site clean and tidy. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship is top-notch—my new fence looks amazing and feels sturdy. Paul Lane548 days agoFence DIY GoMadisonFence was my go to option when buying materials to do a DIY fence project. I worked with David and Michael and both of them offered guidance and expertise as i ask questions. David helped me get all the materials ordered and they even stained the material (for an extra fee of coarse). I did a board on board privacy fence with cap and trim. and the material they provided was nothing but the best. all pickets were clean and not rough, by far one of the best experiences I have had when it comes to working with contractors! 10/10Posted on Google
Kara Congemi552 days agoWe had an outstanding experience from start to finish! The communication throughout the entire process was top notch! The team’s knowledge and professionalism was excellent every step of the way. They helped guide us seamlessly through HOA and city requirements, which made the project stress free. Michael was fantastic. Mary in the office was always prompt and clear with updates. Henry, our project manager, was kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Isaac, our installer, did an amazing job. The fence looks perfect and it was all completed in just two days. Truly a 10 out of 10 experience. Highly recommend!+3Posted on Google
Jennifer Seale574 days agoThis company is a stand up operation that does fantastic work. Surprise!- I built a fence because I have a difficult neighbor. They managed her outbursts on build day, and then jumped in right away and took over to help me with city code complaints and resolved the problem with very little stress for me as a client. I appreciated not having to interact with the reason for building the fence. I have more fencing needing done and will be using them again, and if I move and need a fence, I'll use them again and again. Their product is top notch - not just the wood, the workmanship and the fence precision, but the customer support and service they provide even after the fence is built.Posted on Google

Kinko587 days agoThe quality was top notch and I am very satisfied with the craftsmanship and attention to detail that Madison Fence provided. From start to finish, the communication was constant and they delivered on their promise. Pricing may be a bit higher, however, the quality stood out, and my investment was well worth it. I live on a busy highway with several vehicles that travel it daily, and what I can not afford is failure resulting in my horses getting out on such a busy roadway. I would highly recommend Madison Fence to anyone. They will not disappoint in my opinion. Thank you, Madison Fence!Posted on Google

Gretchen Hustad629 days agoWe had them install a pretty large privacy fence in our backyard this fall, and while absolutely not cheap, we are thrilled with the results. They were great to work with, super responsive, and answered a ton of questions. Our yard is oddly shaped, and they worked through a bunch of scenarios before we landed on the best option for us. Michael and Mary were both so nice and patient, and the sub they used for the install was wonderful too. The other company we tried to get a quote from came out, sent back a quote with virtually no details, and then ghosted us when we had questions. If you're looking for a fence, I highly recommend Madison Fence Company.Posted on Google

Greg Guenther662 days agoMadison Fence Company was a fantastic choice. What really sold me was the pre-stained fencing, but their attention to detail and exceptional customer service set them apart. The owner personally inspected the property before the install, the sales rep patiently updated the proposal multiple times without hesitation, and the office admin was always helpful and quick to respond. They even caught a minor installation issue that I hadn’t noticed and came out to fix it right away. They’re true professionals, and the fence looks amazing. I’d recommend them to anyone!+0Posted on Google
Eileen Vandoros671 days agoMadison Fence did an outstanding job building me a new cedar patio fence which blends with my living room wood fireplace and furniture to create a seamless extension of the interior. The 5 foot high board-on-board fence has a warm pecan stain, and top and bottom caps for an elegant finished trim. The quality of product and project management were extraordinary, i.e. remarkable craftsmanship; communication, customer care and follow-through; turn-key services, arranging for city permits & utility line markings; and overall topnotch value. The work was done in December when they needed to maneuver around weather and cold temperatures. Highly recommend them without reservation. Special thanks to Michael, Henry, Isaac and Breanne.Posted on Google
Jane Cramer672 days agoOur experience with Madison Fence Company was five-stars from beginning to end. Everyone I dealt with (Breanne in the office, Michael with the design, Henry and Andrew on site) was focused on customer service. Communication was clear, timely and informative at every step of the project. The plan was to build a semi private fence alongside our house, and - as an avid gardener - I wanted it to be an architectural backdrop in the landscape. The fact that the fence ran down a slope and involved different heights and step-downs added complexity. Michael offered great advice, answered numerous questions and worked patiently through multiple iterations to craft the design. And during installation it was a pleasure to interact with Andrew. He was completely responsive to my questions and suggestions, tweaking details as the fence was built. I can testify that it truly was a design/build effort. When we contracted with MFC, we envisioned the result to be a beautiful, functional new fence, and that’s exactly what we got! I cannot imagine working with a more talented, congenial and cooperative team of individuals and heartily recommend their services.+0Posted on Google

Barbara Fleeman693 days agoAfter getting bids from three different fencing companies, we decided to work with Madison Fence Company; not because they had the lowest price, but because everyone we talked with was so friendly and knowledgeable. They explained everything in detail and were confident they could install a gate on our deck where the other companies said they could not. They did a great job and every employee, from Mary in the office, to Henry and Will, the installers, were friendly, polite, and so easy to work with. The installation even came in under bid.+1Posted on Google
Jenna Fraracci698 days agoWe had above and beyond a 5 star experience with Madison Fence Company. What upstanding people they are. It’s harder and harder to find these days- a company that works with the utmost integrity and kindness and the overall desire for the well being of others. We had hired another company previously who completely abdicated the job. We were in a total bind. Madison Fence Company saved us from a huge rut and were so helpful and collaborative along the way. They are worth every penny. You absolutely get what you pay for. Take it from us, and hire them from the get go. You will have a smooth experience and the peace of mind of a quality installation and people who stand behind the work they do. Thank you so much Madison Fence Company, for turning an absolute disaster into a great safe place for our kids to play.Posted on Google
Tony Dano707 days agoOnce again Madison Fence Company has done an amazing job on my fence. About 10 years ago they put up my fence around my property. Jon Orum709 days agoMadison Fence Company did a fantastic job on my 180-foot-long fence. We used three different types of fencing to provide privacy, look aesthetically pleasing, and save money where we could. Mike Friedenreich782 days agoAfter considering a few fence companies, we chose Madison Fence Company and we are very pleased based on several factors. Michael, our sales rep, was very professional and friendly. He took the time to explain their company, their process and the materials they use. We chose Madison Fence because of him. We decided on a 4 ft cedar fence with a beautiful Pecan stain. We also did not have to wait weeks for the project to begin. The install team led by Henry did an outstanding job laying out our fence, ensuring that they followed the grade properly. As in most jobs, there were a couple of things to adjust and they did so without complaint and promptly. When the job was completed, they ensured all materials were cleaned up and nothing was left behind. We received a number of follow-ups from all the groups involved including Mary in an administrative role to ensure that the job was progressing and we were satisfied with it. We could not be more pleased with the outcome and have received a number of compliments from our neighbors. Highly recommend Madison Fence Company!+1Posted on Google
Lindsay Platt791 days agoComparable price to other Madison companies but much better customer service! We got a few fence quotes from other Madison-area companies and all came back with roughly the same cost, but the in-person interactions were miles apart. Other companies seemed either in a huge rush or that it was an inconvenience to them when they came to our house to discuss the project and give a quote. Madison Fence Company answered all of our questions and prompted us with questions based on their experiences (e.g. remember what this might be like in winter, does that change your opinion?). There was one of the gates pivoted the opposite of our original plan so we contacted them and they returned promptly to fix it with no hassle! They were efficient, friendly, and the quality is nice. Highly recommend them for your fence project.+2Posted on Google

Heather Kauffman834 days agoMadison Fence was absolutely wonderful in every way. Everyone is warm and friendly, response times are quick, and the work is outstanding. I needed two sections of an existing six foot wood fence reconfigured to accommodate a wheelchair ramp. When I explained the urgency of my situation, they were compassionate and accommodated my needs by working this small job into their existing schedule. My fence looks great, is sound and sturdy in its new configuration, and now the ramp can go in, giving me back my independence and mobility. Thank you to everyone at Madison Fence!Posted on Google
Sarah Hansen855 days agoHad a really great experience with Madison Fence Company. They pulled out an old wooden fence that was in disrepair and replaced it with a beautiful vinyl fence that will hole up for many years to come. There were a few hiccups during the process but they navigated the obstacles with INTEGRITY and grace. They never once tried to imply that the challenges were my fault or responsibility. They took full ownership and accountability for making things right. It’s easy for a company to do a good job when everything goes well, but the mark of an excellent company is how they respond when things go wrong. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to install a new fence!Posted on Google

They’ve been very helpful in choosing fencing material, style, etc. and are extremely responsive to emails and texts. But more than that, they’ve also been very helpful with the entire fencing administrative process. We live in an area that requires fences to be approved though a building board, and being new home owners this seemed a bit daunting. Madison Fence Company (specifically Mary and Michael) have totally taken the reins, communicating with the village and submitting the application materials on our behalf. It’s been so nice to not have that on our plate! Update: Our fence is installed and looks amazing! Sara Pfender932 days agoWe enjoyed working with Madison Fence Company from start to finish of our project. Michael came out for an estimate and spent a lot of time with me talking through our goals for fencing in our yard including different options for an existing fence we have. They worked with us to fulfill our vision while staying within our budget. We were able to get on their schedule quickly and during installation they encountered some private electric lines which they handled with care and hand dug the area to prevent any issues coming up. Even with the extra work they had to do with the hand digging, they stuck with their original estimate price. We love the fence, it’s a beautiful addition to our yard.Posted on Google

Charles J1179 days agoDecided to go with Madison Fence Company based on previous positive reviews, and I am glad that I did! They were very helpful and communicative during the entire process. They helped us decide the fence placement due to some unique features of our yard and promptly responded to our questions. The fence was completed less than a month and a half from the day we contacted them, which was sooner than expected due to them having an opening prior to the original projected start date. Jessica Lowenberg1478 days agoMichael and Mary were so great to work with. They were honest about their quote- and thank goodness because they knew it would be particularly difficult job due to our location. They were not our cheapest quote, I’ll be honest, but they were by far the fairest because they knew the landscape. If they weren’t honest with us about it - we likely would have taken the cheapest quote and had added up charges along the way that would have cost us WAY more in both time and money. The job was long and hard for the size yard we have, but they persevered, communicated and were so fair along the way. The quality is also superior. The guys that installed the fence were super nice and did a great job solving some issues with buried cement and big tree roots. It's super difficult digging in our yard due to this and they figured it out without even taking more time than quoted. They showed up on time and didn't mess around. Give these guys a raise! Paul Fankhauser1568 days agoMadison Fence Co. recently finished a wood “shadow box” fence on our back yard. The employees were polite and listened whenever we had a concern. Michael and Henry returned a few days after the completion of the work on the fence to check with us and see if anything needed to be changed. There were a couple of minor adjustments that were promptly made. We would like to thank Dave and his crew for their attention to detail and the friendly manner that they conducted their work.Posted on Google

Chrissy Pixie1663 days agoYou found it! This is the best fence company in Madison! I'm the person who has to call every company and get every estimate before I feel OK about hiring anyone for anything. Madison Fence Company was not only the best price AND best value but owner- operated by a genuine and honest human who took time to answer every. single. question. with detail and consideration. We planned the job together to ensure it was exactly what I wanted, and the fence was completed ahead of schedule (and ahead of winter). They were able to accommodate us on a short timeline right before the Thanksgiving break and were diligent about correcting a gate issue that was encountered after our fence was installed. We’ll look to work with David’s company if we ever decide to expand our fence perimeter, and we definitely recommend them for any fencing needs.Posted on Google

Jessica Schmitz1865 days agoWe had a great experience working with David from Madison Fence Company. We had just purchased our new home and wanted to get a fence in as soon as possible so our dogs could finally run free in a backyard. He made sure one of us was there when he did an estimate so that he could find out exactly what we wanted and talk about where we wanted the gates to be placed. We had another fence company give us an estimate as well and they did not ask for us to be there. When I got the quote, it was for the style of fence I did not want. Comparing these two companies, I knew that I wanted to go with David and Madison Fence Co. as the experience with another company reinforced for me how professional and dedicated to his company David is and how important and valued customer service is to him. The team of installers was out sooner than expected to install our fence and did a great job! We are so happy with our new fence! I highly recommend Madison Fence Co to anyone and everyone looking to get a fence.Posted on Google
